Following the barbaric incident that happened at the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, today, where a young Christian student simply identified as Deborah was lynched and subsequently burnt to death for alleged blasphemous comment she made against Prophet Mohammmed, the Management of the school has shut down the institution.

In a cryptic letter circulated online indicates that the school has been shut down indefinitely.

An eyewitness who reported the incident via Facebook post, writes: "An unfortunate event happened today in Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto where a female student insulted Prophet Muhammad Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam. We learnt that some students took law into their hands, beat her to death and set her corpse ablaze."
