NEMA evacuates illegal Nigerian migrants from UAE

The governments of India and UAE have assembled hundreds of Nigerians, tagged them as unwanted migrants (for various reasons) and have advised FGN to “Come and Carry”. The National Emergency Management Agency NEMA , under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, is currently undertaking the evacuation of such returnees.

A total of 542 stranded Nigerians in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) evacuated back home by the Federal Government have arrived Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja on board Maxair charted flight.
The plane touched town at 4:29am.

The evacuees consisted of 79 males, 460 females and 3 infants.
